Kent, David R

David R. Kent is the Minister of Music and Senior Adults of West Lynchburg Baptist Church in Lynchburg, Virginia. He has previously served churches in Ohio, Texas and California. David grew up in Poway, California, (a suburb of San Diego) He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Music from San Diego State University and a Master of Music in Church Music degree from Southwestern Baptist Theological Seminary in Fort Worth, Texas.

David and his wonderful wife Jeanne have two grown children. In addition to his church responsibilities and writing and arranging music, David also enjoys ringing in the Bells of the Blue Ridge (a community handbell choir in Lynchburg) and singing in the Virginia Baptist Male Chorale.
