Description

Here is a refreshing and uplifting setting of the hymn tune known by various titles, including “All Creatures of our God and King”, “From All That Dwell Below the Skies” and “Ye Watchers and Ye Holy Ones”, among others. The opening is rung freely, as if improvising, with fragments of the melody interspersed with variations in rhythm and harmonies. The full hymn begins at measure 18 with rhythmic accompaniment and counter melodies enhancing the familiar tune.
