Here is a fresh, lovely, and accessible arrangement which begins with the Singing Bell technique and gentle Shakes setting the style in a lovely intro for this favorite African-American spiritual. This setting is true to the melody and features a gentle, flowing accompaniment with many dynamic expressions throughout. The melody is briefly featured in the handchimes in the 4’s accompanied by flowing eighth notes in the treble bells. All bells join in ringing the expected four parts with well-placed shakes as it flows into a recap of the opening intro by return to the Singing Bell. This is a sweet arrangement that could also be rung by a solid Level 2 group and will be a go-to piece for worship, communion, and more.
