Description

This famous Russian folk song was written by Ivan Laionov in 1860 and Kalinka is Russian for the Snowball Tree. There are many versions of this which have been used throughout the world in a variety of settings and media including Tetris. This handbell arrangement is true to the original and the various ‘verses’ and chorus are emphasized by use of mallets, mallet rolls, RT, ring and many dynamics. A range of tempos are suggested. This will be a hit in your concerts and also great fun to ring!
