Description

This unpretentious presentation of the 17th century French carol captures the awe and mystery of the original hymn. Opening with the melody stated at a slow tempo with unison octaves of handchimes, the central section moves somewhat quicker with full chordal harmonies. The piece closes with seven measures that are reminiscent of the opening section.
