This gentle, sweet tune is based on a traditional Czechoslovakian carol which includes equally sweet lyrics. The opening rhythm is representative of gentle rocking and supports the lovely, lyrical melody. Linda has kept the arrangement pure with the simple melody featured in both handbells and handchimes. Techniques include ring, LV, echos, table mallet, and mallet lifts, all to be gently played. A brief segue and time change evokes the hymn, Away in a Manger, leading into a key change. This beautiful and sensitive arrangement will be a standard ‘go-to’ for your group for years to come.
