Midnight Melodies

Description

Peaceful, graceful, contemplative, and melodic are adjectives that come to mind when describing this lovely composition. The piece opens with a simple statement of the melody. As the piece develops, the melody moves through various octaves of the handbells. Optional handchimes are used to enhance the melody and introduce new motifs. In addition, the composer has used the flute (or other C instrument) artfully to weave a counter melody intermittently through the work.
