Ring for the Earth

The peaceful theme of this original work especially makes use of the rich overtone of the instrument while the middle section uses handchimes to create a contrasting section. The smooth but surprising modulation provides interesting tone colours that depict the spirit of harmony in a diversity of peace.  The use of LV accompaniment beautifully supports the engaging melody and invites interpretive expression throughout. This will be a sensitive and beautiful addition to your repertoire.

The composer wrote this piece specifically for EdRingers and EdUHK Handbell Ensemble and was featured in the 16th International Handbell Symposium, Jeju, Korea in July 2014.
